Completing the installation procedure
In order to ensure proper functioning, durability and a
smooth running of the sectional door it is essential
that all parts have been mounted in accordance with
the assembly instructions. Check if the garage door
operates properly and safely. The following points are
to be checked in particular:
•
Are the lateral angle frames, the frame panel and
the horizontal rail pairs exactly aligned
horizontally, vertically and diagonally, and are
they securely fastened?
•
Are all screw connections tight?
•
Are all ceiling suspensions of the horizontal rail
pairs mounted?
•
Have the transitions between the vertical rails in
the angular frame and the 89° arches been
adjusted?
•
Have the torsion springs been tensioned equally
on both sides? Check spring tension: Open the
door halfway. The door must be able to maintain
this position.
– If the door sinks noticeably, increase the
spring tension.
– If the door rises noticeably, lower the spring
tension.
– Also check whether the sectional door leaf is
aligned horizontally. If necessary, readjust by
releasing the shaft coupling, correct the
alignment by adjusting the torsion spring
shaft and retighten the shaft coupling again.
•
Are the windings of the wire rope exactly
positioned in their guides on the cable drums?
Are there at least 2 safety windings on the cable
drum?
•
Are the centre bearings exactly aligned in order
to attain the shaft running in a steady and even
manner?
•
Track rollers: Can all the rollers be easily turned
by hand when the door is closed?
•
Has the upper roller been correctly adjusted?
•
For door drives: Has the locking mechanism
been dismantled?

Operation
5.1
Safety instructions for operation
The mechanical equipment of this door is designed to
mitigate to the greatest possible extent the risk of
anyone operating or standing near the door being
crushed, cut, clipped or otherwise injured. To ensure
a safe operation of the door, the following points must
be observed:
Observe the following safety information for opera-
tion:
•
Use only by trained persons.

All operators must be instructed on how to
handle the garage door and be familiar with the
applicable safety regulations.
•
Comply with the accident prevention regulations
and general safety regulations relevant to the
field of application.
•
Regularly check the garage door for visual
defects.
•
Have the deficiencies remedied immediately.
•
Manual operation of the sectional door is only
permissible using the outer handle, inner handle,
or the manual cable. The operator must always
keep his hands away from moving parts.
•
Operation of this door is only permissible at
temperatures between -20 °C and +40 °C.
Impact and crush hazard due to the
WARNING
door movement!
When the door is actuated, the opening
and closing processes must be mon-
itored.
•
The garage door must be visible
from the place of operation.
•
Make sure that no objects or per-
sons, particularly children, are in the
door's movement area during oper-
ation.
•
Always keep the opening range
clear.
5.2
Opening the door
When opening the door leaf, make sure it is in its end
position. Wait until it has come to a standstill before
taking any other action.
5.3
Closing the door
When closing the door, make sure that the bolt catch
completely engages.
5.4
Lock function
Completely turning the key:
•
At all times, the sectional door can be opened
and closed without a key.
Turning the key by a 3/4 turn, then turning it back the
other way by a 3/4 turn:
•
The sectional door can be opened. After closing
the door, it will be locked again.
Opening and closing from the inside:
•
By shifting the inner unlocking/locking knob, the
door can be opened and closed without using a
key.
