the torsion spring shaft (35R). Observe the following:
NOTICE
Doors with a width of basic
dimension exceeding 3530 mm
require two centre bearings (37).
Mount one centre bearing (37) per side
and per torsion spring (35R/L). Ensure
a sufficient distance to the torsion
spring shafts (35R/L) again. The dis-
tance should amount to at least
120 mm.
NOTICE
The centre bearing (37) has to be
precisely aligned.
Ensure the precise alignment of the
centre bearing (37) to prevent an imbal-
ance and to guarantee the shaft running
smoothly.
Ensure a sufficient distance to the torsion spring
shaft (35R) which should at least be 120 mm.
Also consider to leave space for the shaft
coupling (38) and its installation.
Put the centre bearings (37) in place with an
offset of approx. 50 mm to the centre of the door
in order to leave space if a door drive will be
installed.
Choose a suitable reference point (upper edge of
angle frames 1R and 1L, garage ceiling) to
determine the position of the centre bearing.
Fig.
e
Screw the centre bearing in place by using the
screws (S9) and the plugs (S8).

Slide the shaft coupling onto the shaft end of
the right torsion spring (35R).

g
Mount the left torsion spring shaft  (35L) the
same way you mounted the right. Then centrally slide
the shaft coupling  (38) over both shaft ends. Only
fasten lightly in order to guarantee a subsequent ad-
justment.

After having mounted the torsion spring shaft,
install the safety guard  (39) in between the rail
arches (30) and the horizontal rail pairs (14R/14L).

tection film on every door segment by carefully

then pull off the film.

Attach the logo to the outside of the
bottom section (44), then fasten the bottom grip (49)
on the inside by means of the screws  (S13). When
screwing, observe the permissible torque of 10 Nm.
4.5.2 Mounting the bottom section

frames (1R/L) with a damp cloth. Position the bottom
section  (44) in the door frame and secure it against
toppling over.

On the left and right on the top, mount
an external hinge (48) with a track roll (56): Insert one
track roll  (56) each into an external hinge  (48), then
insert the track roll into the vertical guide rail. Tighten
the external hinges  (48) on the bottom section  (44)
with two screws (S13) each. When screwing, observe
the permissible torque of 10 Nm.

Unreel the wire rope  (104) from the
torsion spring shaft  (35R/35L). Feed the wire
rope (104) behind the mounted track rollers (56) and
put it on the bolt of the mounting (57R/57L) along with
the cable eye and the plastic bushing  (59). Secure
the wire rope (104) with the split pin (60).

On the left and right at the bottom, attach the
mountings  (57R/57L) to the bottom section  (44) by
means of the screws (S13). When screwing, observe
the permissible torque of 10 Nm.

Insert the lower track rollers (50) into the ver-
tical rails and screw the rails to the mount-
ings (57R/57L) by means of the screws (S5).
4.5.3 Horizontally aligning the door leaf

, Page A19. Wind the wire
cables  (104) up by approx. a half-turn (prestressed)
so that they are under slight tension. By means of the
spirit level, check whether the bottom section  (44) is
aligned horizontally. If required, adjust it at the torsion
spring shaft (35R/L).
Fig.
c
Afterwards, tighten the shaft coupling (38).
4.5.4 Adjusting the track rollers
Re-adjust the tandem wheels every time you insert
another door segment. This allows you to have a
good insight on the distance between the sliding strip
of the frame and the inserted door segment. In doing
so, observe the following settings for different door
drive types.
Fig.
a
, Page A20. Loosen the screw  (56a) for ad-
justing the tandem wheels (56).
Fig.
b
Hand operation and ceiling pull: Adjust all
tandem wheels  (56) and the bottommost track
roller  (50) in a way that the door segment's distance
to the sliding strip is approx. 1.5 – 2 mm (pull rolls in
direction of the arrow).
Fig.
c
Novoport drive: Adjust the lower tandem
wheels  (56) and the bottommost track roller  (50) as
described before. On the Novoport side, inverse the
running direction of the topmost tandem wheel (56) in
order to pull the door leaf away from the sliding edge.
