7.1
Specifying the installed braking system
Once the device is connected it can search for the brake control unit in the vehicle.
1. Attach the ABS/EBS Code Reader as described in Chapter "5 Installation", page 8.
2. Select menu item "1) Scan" (using the "UP" and "DOWN" buttons).
3. Confi rm by pressing the "OK" button.
If a WABCO control unit is found, it is displayed with name and device generation
(e.g.: TEBS-E).
7.2
Reading out the fault memory
If the device detected a WABCO braking system in the vehicle, the device can read out the memory
from the ECU. System messages are shown in the two-line display in the following format:

1. Attach the ABS/EBS Code Reader as described in Chapter "5 Installation", page 8.
2. Select menu item "1) Scan" (using the "UP" and "DOWN" buttons).
3. Confi rm by pressing the "OK" button.
The connection takes a few seconds. Once a connection has been established, the version of
the connected system is briefl y displayed.
4. Select menu item "1) View DTCs" (using the "UP" and "DOWN" buttons).
5. Confi rm by pressing the "OK" button.
6. Use the "UP" and "DOWN" buttons to navigate through the error messages.

A 1 or a 0 in brackets is displayed behind each fault
code. The 1 indicates that an active fault is present in the
system, the 0 indicates that an inactive fault is stored.

Indicates how often the fault occurs.
