This section describes how to connect the telephone. This includes the settings required to
put the telephone into operation on an Auerswald PBX.
Commissioning the Telephone
Requirements

The connecting cable delivered with the telephone

Internal telephone number entered in the configuration for the telephone
Insert an RJ-11 plug of the connecting cable into the socket labelled

on the bottom of the telephone.
Guide the cable to the outside using the corresponding cable channel.

Insert the other RJ-11 plug of the connecting cable into an analogue socket

Required Settings for Operating on an Auerswald PBX
The telephone can display the existing information for an incoming call on the
display and save it in the caller list (CLIP). This includes the telephone number
and name of the caller as well as the date and time of the call.
Notes:
A name saved in the PBX (for example, in the short-code memory) is over-
ridden by any corresponding entries in the telephone book on that tele-
phone.
The time saved in the telephone is overwritten by the information generated
by a call.
In order for the telephone to easily detect this information, it needs a defined call
signal that must be enabled for the subscriber when operating an Auerswald
PBX.
