Troubleshooting

The telephone is not wor-
king.
The telephone does not
ring.
The telephone does not
dial.
My communication partner
cannot hear me.
The speed dialling keys are
not working as expected.

the caller is not shown on
the telephone display.

Make sure that the plug on the connecti-
oncord and the headset spiral cable are cor-
rectly inserted into the sockets.
Connect another telephone to the telephone
connection socket. If the problem continues
despite using a different telephone, the prob-
lem may lie with your network provider or with
the PBX in between.
Make sure your ringer is turned on. See
page 56.
Make sure that the plug on the connecti-
oncord are correctly inserted into the sockets.
Make sure the correct dialling type is enabled.

Check whether mute is activated. Deactivate
it by pressing the microphone key.
If you are operating your telephone on a PBX,
external calls may require that you dial the
exchange line access number (for example,
0) before dialling the actual telephone num-
ber. This must be programmed into the unit.
If you are operating your telephone on a PBX,
it may be necessary to enter specific dialling
pauses for external calls.
Check whether the transmission of telephone
numbers has been enabled by your network
provider.
If your telephone is being operated on an
Auerswald PBX, check whether the required
settings for displaying telephone numbers
have been configured. See
The caller can suppress the telephone num-
ber. In this case, your display will show either
no telephone number or the message PRI-
VATE.
