General information
These instructions describe the design and mode of
operation of the tester set CRI/CRIN SST.
These instructions are only valid in conjunction with the
instructions supplied for the:
R
Injection pump test bench EPS 815
R
Continuous quantity measurement system
KMA 802/822
R
Tester set CRS 845/CRS 845H for common rail high-
pressure pumps
R
Tester set CRI 846 / CRI 846H or CRI/CRIN 848H for
common rail injectors.
These instructions must be kept and distributed togeth-
er with the instructions listed above.

Definition of terms
Injectors: Common rail injectors.
Passenger vehicle injectors: Common rail injectors for
passenger vehicles.
Commercial vehicle injectors: Common rail injectors for
commercial vehicles.
Tester set CRI: Tester set for checking common rail in-
jectors.

�ntended use
The tester set CRI/CRIN SST is an extension of the ex-
isting common rail tester sets CRI 846 / CRI 846H or
CRI/CRIN 848H. The tester set CRI/CRIN SST can be
used to determine any shot-to-shot scatter in injectors.
For your own safety and to ensure that the unit is not
damaged through inexpert handling, the operating in-
structions must be studied thoroughly and observed.

Training
Users must have been trained in the mode of operation,
checking and repair of common rail injectors. Appropri-
ate instruction is provided by Automotive Aftermarket
(AA) training centers.

Authorized users
The CRI/CRIN SST is only to be operated by specialist per-
sonnel instructed and trained to perform diesel testing.
