These instructions describe the following aspects of
the CRI/CRIN 848H tester set for checking common rail

Injectors: Common rail injectors.
Passenger vehicle injectors: Common rail injectors for
passenger vehicles.

rail injectors.

Product description

3.1

Intended use

The tester set CRI/CRIN 848H is designed for check-
ing solenoid valve controlled passenger vehicle injec-
tors (CRI 1/2) and commercial vehicle injectors (CRIN
1/2/3) from Bosch.

The supplementary equipment set 1 687 010 333
is additionally required for checking piezo injectors
CRI 3.
For your own safety and to ensure that the unit is not
damaged through inexpert handling, the operating in-
structions must be studied thoroughly and observed.
3.2

Prerequisites

3.2.1 Prerequisites
1)
The following test equipment must be set up and ready
for use for start-up and operation of the CRI/CRIN 848H.
For operation on EPS 708
No additional extensions are required for operation of
the CRI/CRIN 848H tester set on the EPS 708.
For operation on EPS 815
When testing injectors it is essential that the 2 kVA mains
transformer and the voltage stabilizer 1 687 001 608
have been installed into the EPS 815. If the EPS 815 has
already been upgraded with the VPM 844 supplementary
equipment set, then these components have been in-
stalled during the upgrade process and do not therefore
need to be ordered separately.
