• The position of transmitter and receiver aerials relative to one other has very strong effect on the range. It is better if
both the transmitter and receiver aerial are vertical. In contrast, if you point the transmitter aerial at the vehicle, the
range will be very short!
• Check the correct position of the speed controller plug and steering servo on the receiver. If the plugs have been
rotated 180°, the speed controller and steering servo will not work.
If, however, the speed controller and steering servo plugs have been swapped with one another, the throttle/brake
lever on the transmitter will control the steering servo, and the steering wheel will control the driving function!
Vehicle doesn't stop when throttle/brake lever is let go
• Correct the trimming for the drive function on the transmitter (set in the neutral position).
The vehicle stops after a few minutes of driving time
• The speed controller has a pre-programmed undervoltage detector. If the battery voltage drops below 6.2 V (3.1
V for LiPo cells), it switches off the motor in order to protect the connected drive battery against a deep discharge.
The driving time is very short
• Charge the drive battery or use a different, fully charged drive battery.
• When using a NiMH drive battery you should turn off the undervoltage detector. Otherwise, you will not be able to
use the full battery capacity when driving the vehicle and the drive time will be shortened unnecessarily. For this
purpose, a programming card adapted for the speed controller is available as an accessory (not included, sold
separately).
If using a LiPo drive battery, you should not change the preset value (cut-off voltage 3.1 V/cell) using the
programming card.
The vehicle becomes slower or the steering servo reacts slowly or not at all; the range between transmitter
and vehicle is very short
• The drive battery is weak or empty.
• The power supply to the receiver, and therefore the power supply to the steering servo as well, is provided through
the speed controller's BEC. Therefore, a weak or empty drive battery will cause the receiver to not function correctly.
• Replace the drive battery with a fully charged drive battery (before inserting a new drive battery, wait at least 5 - 10
minutes so that the motor and drive battery can cool down sufficiently).
• Check the batteries in the transmitter.
The directional stability is not correct
• Set the directional stability on the transmitter using the corresponding trim function for the steering.
• Check the steering linkage, and the servo arm and its screws.
• Has your vehicle had an accident? If so, check the vehicle for any defective or broken parts and replace them.
The steering turns in the opposite direction to the direction the steering wheel on the transmitter is turned in
• Activate the steering reverse setting on the transmitter.
