5. Required Accessories

For item no. 1590625 you need:
• 4x rechargeable or AA/Mignon batteries for the transmitter
• 2-cell LiPo drive battery (nominal voltage 7.4 V; with T-connector); alternatively, a 6-cell NiMH drive battery (nominal
voltage 7.2V)
• Suitable charger for transmitter batteries and drive battery
For beginners we recommend an affordable LiPo battery with an appropriate LiPo charger.
However, if you have different drive batteries (NiMH and/or LiPo) or already have more experience with
model motor sport, you should buy a high-quality charger that can charge the different batteries and also
discharge/measure them.
Suitable LiPo batteries for the vehicle are available with different battery capacities. The higher the battery
capacity, the longer the drive time.
The speed controller is pre-programmed so it switches off the motor when the battery voltage is below
6.2 V. This is to protect the connected LiPo battery against deep discharge (switch-off at a cell voltage of
3.1 V). When using a NiMH drive battery you should turn off the undervoltage detector. Otherwise, you will
not be able to use the full battery capacity when driving the vehicle and the drive time will be shortened
unnecessarily. For this purpose, a programming card adapted for the speed controller is available as an
accessory (not included, sold separately).
For optimal use of the vehicle, we also recommend the following components:
• Spare tyres (so you can quickly change worn/damaged tyres)
• Work stand (for test runs and easier maintenance)
• Various tools (e.g. screwdriver, needle-nosed pliers, hex key)
• Compressed air spray (for cleaning)
• Thread-locking fluid (to re-fix loosened screw connections)
• Carrying bag
