12. Protection of privacy

Personal rights: Please respect the personal rights of others when installing
the SECACAM Pro. You must not use the camera in a public area where
people may enter the surveillance area of the camera and are recognizable
in any way! The same rule applies for recording photos or videos of license
plates of vehicles.
Monitoring of public areas: Please check national laws and regulations if
public areas (streets, sidewalks, parking lots, etc.) may be monitored by pri-
vate persons. If it is illegal please refrain from using the camera in such an
environment.
Surveillance cameras at the place of work: Please check national laws and
regulations if the camera may be used at the place of work. If it is illegal please
refrain from recording employees and do not use surveillance cameras at the
place of work unless potential legal infringements can be fully excluded.
Delete recordings: Photos or videos of people that have not been informed
that they may be recorded or have not granted the right to record them must
be deleted immediately.
Property protection: If you use the camera for property protection or to in-
vestigate administrative offenses or crimes, please ensure that only perpetra-
tors, rather than innocent bystanders are captured.
Handing over recordings to law enforcement agencies: Only in the case
of an offense or a criminal act, you may hand over the recordings to law en-
forcement agency – and only to them! The authorities will then decide on the
further use of the photos or video.

13. Hazard, safety and warning notices

Intended Use: The SECACAM Pro is intended for private use only.
Using AC adapters: Only use a power adapter (not supplied) with the mains
voltage specifi ed on the rating plate (6V) or the risk of fi re and/or electrocution
may occur. Disconnect the power to the camera by pulling the power adapt-
er out of the socket. Ensure adequate ventilation and do not cover the AC
adapter (not supplied) to avoid overheating. The power supply should not be
used during thunderstorms or the risk of electrocution may occur. Using the
