10. Connection to computer

Remove the SD card and insert it into the card reader of your computer.
If your computer doesn't have a card reader, you can connect the camera
directly to an computer using the provided USB cable.
Connection via USB cable: Unclasp the clasp and open the camera. On the
right side of the camera, you will find a mini-USB port. You may connect the
camera to your computer using the provided USB cable.
Regardless of whether the camera is switched on or off, it automatically
switches to USB mode, recognizable by the blue USB icon on the screen of
the camera.
PC/Windows: The camera installs itself as an additional drive. Double-click
to open the drive on the computer. Within the folder „DCIM" is the folder
„100MEDIA" with all the recorded photos and video files. After 1000 files the
camera will create a new folder called "101MEDIA" (102MEDIA and so on).
You may copy or move the folders or individual files to your computer.
Card reader: Using a memory card reader (not included), you may copy pho-
tos and videos directly from the memory card to the computer. If necessary,
please consult the manufacturer's operating instructions.

11. External power supply

External power supply: The camera can be operated with an external pow-
er supply (check out the accessories at www.secacam.com). A 12V power
supply with at least 1.5 A is required containing a connector with a 3.5 mm ex-
ternal and 1.35 mm internal diameter (internal plus pole, external minus pole).
The corresponding socket is located at the bottom of the camera. Remove
the batteries when operating the camera with an external power supply. Be
aware that rechargeable batteries cannot be recharged in the camera using
an external power supply.
External battery box: To achieve an outstanding operating time like it is
needed to protect a remote property, a 12V lead acid battery is the best
choice. With a capacity of e.g. 4.5 Ah these batteries are an ideal long-term
source of energy for the SECACAM Pro. Please note that a suitable cable
with the correct polarity (positive pole inside) must be purchased as well as an
additional charger suitable for the lead acid battery.
