PRACTICAL HINTS, ADVICE AND USEFUL INFORmATION

WARNING
must be read before using the machine
The following information is highly significant as it facilitates the operator's job and/or helps
clarify any doubts that might arise.
1 During the tyre dismounting phase, an over-lubrication and/or an unusual shape of rim edge
may cause the tyre to slip on the rim thus making this operation extremely complicated. To solve
the problem, try moving the bead breaker disc upwards to push and raise the tyre. Alternatively, to
further speed up the activity lifting the bead quickly off the rim, simply place the manual help lever
between tyre and rim (fig. 11).
2 During the early demounting phase, the tyre bead may still be inserted at 180° from the mounting
tool area thus making the tool unable to completely overturn the tyre. In this case, it is necessary to
keep the bead pressed in the channel using the supplied bead pressing device positioned at 6.00
o'clock (also the optional bead pressing clamp can be used). This advise should be utilized when
handling particularly low profiled or tough tyres such as the Run-Flat (fig.11A).
3 During the demounting phase, if the tool cannot keep the tyre bead engaged to allow starting the
demounting phase, the tyre bead may be still inserted on the underside. Try to move the bead bre-
aker disc upwards both to break the tyre bead again and help the tool to maintain the tyre engaged
on it (fig. 11B).
4 When handling particularly large reverse rim wheels, the stroke of the lower bead breaking arm
could result insufficient to reach the upper rim edge thus making impossible to perform a complete
tyre dismounting. In this case, the disc of the upper bead breaking arm can be manually rotated of
180° in order to be used to dismount the tyre instead of using the lower one.
To prevent any rim damage, the plastic insert under the head (A, B - fig. 12) must be replaced every
2 months or sooner, if excessively worn. A spare insert is supplied with the machine.
Any noise heard when the tool head engages with the tyre is normal. The noise is caused by the
mechanical return of the tool and not because the tool has hit the rim. Even if the tool does touch
the rim as the tyre is engaged, this will not damage the rim in any way. The pressure applied is very
low. If you wish to prevent this noise, simply press the bead breaker disc harder against the bead
when picking it up.
