NOTE
When installing and operating the transducers, please note the maximum par-
asitic forces − lateral forces, bending and torsional moments, see Chapter 9 −
and the maximum permissible loading capacity of the force application parts
used.

5.3 Assembly with adapter

The U10 can be directly mounted onto the structural elements in this mount-
ing variant. The internal threads on the force transducer and adapter can be
used for this purpose. The transducer can then measure axial forces in both
the tensile and pressure directions. Alternating loads are also correctly re-
corded if the transducer is mounted without axial play. The transducer can be
used without restrictions with the full vibration bandwidth.
Please note that the force transducer can only be used for measuring static
and quasistatic forces when mounted without pre-stressing.
