1. Product description

1.1.

General

SKM 40-00M Transmodulates DVB-S/S2/S2x/T/T2/C into DVB-C or DVB-T (depending on the installated
firmware, see 3.7.1 on page 31).
Four independent multituner inputs, four modulators, one output.
SKM 40-04M Like SKM 40-00M, decoding of encoded programs possible by using four CA modules
SKM 80-00M Transmodulates DVB-S/S2/S2x/T/T2/C into DVB-C or DVB-T (depending on the installated
firmware, see 3.7.1 on page 31).
The SKM 80-00M ist built in two units, each with four independent multituner inputs, four
modulators and one output.

Scope of delivery

1 × Quick start guide
Note. The power supply unit and the basic unit are not included in the scope of delivery of the modules. They
are available as an option. It is recommended to install the modules into a base unit.
1.3.

Inputs/multituner

Headend devices with multituner can receive DVB-S/S2/S2x, DVB-T/T2 or DVB-C. For receiving DVB-T/T2 or
DVB-C the LNB power has to be switched off (see 3.3.2 on page 19) before connecting a antenna
cabel to one of the HF inputs!
