2. Add a few drops of washing-up liquid, close the lid (2) and place the blender jug (4) on the motor
unit (8).
3. Connect the mains plug on the power cable (15) to a mains socket, move the rotary switch (9) to
ON and press the pulse button (12) a few times.
4. Rinse the blender jug (4) out with plain water.
This will generally be sufficient to clean the cutting blades and the interior of the blender jug (4). If you
find it is not sufficient, proceed as described in the "Cleaning the blender jug manually" section below.

10.1.1 Cleaning the motor unit

Risk of electric shock!

Always remove the plug from the mains socket before cleaning the motor unit (8). Failure
to do so could cause an electric shock.

Do not pour or spray any liquids onto the motor unit (8) and do not immerse it in water
or other liquids. This could cause short circuits which could cause electric shocks or burns.
Warning about property damage

Do not use abrasive or astringent detergents or tools which could scratch the motor unit
(8) surface. This could cause damage to the motor unit (8) housing.
Clean the motor unit (8), plastic parts and the power cable (15) with a dry or damp cloth.
Dry the motor unit (8) well.

10.1.2 Cleaning the lid and the measuring cup

The lid (2) and measuring cup (1) can be rinsed as normal. Dry them thoroughly.

10.1.3 Cleaning the blender jug manually

Risk of injury
Never reach into the blender jug (4) because the cutting blades are extremely sharp.
You can rinse the blender jug (4) as normal. To remove stubborn dirt inside the blender jug (4) you can
use a long-handled dishwashing brush or bottle brush.
Then rinse it with clean water and dry it thoroughly.

10.2 Storage when not in use

If you no longer need the blender, clean it as described in the "Maintenance / cleaning" section. Then
proceed as follows:
1. Wind the power cable (15) around the cord wrap (14) underneath.
2. Store the blender in a safe, dry place away from dust.
