8.4 Switching on / selecting speed

The blender can only be switched on once the blender jug (4) is properly locked into position,
correctly seated on the motor unit (8) and the lid (2) is closed.
1. Place the rotary switch (9) in the ON position. The blue LEDs in the rotary switch (9) itself light up.
2. Use the rotary switch (9) to select a speed between the MIN and MAX positions or press the
smoothie button (10), the crushed ice button (11) or the pulse button (12) to use one of the pre-set
speeds.
Warning about property damage
Please note the short operating time of a maximum of 2 minutes. After this operating period,
you must switch off the blender and wait for the motor to cool down to ambient temperature.

blades (6) are not moving yet. The blue LEDs in the rotary switch itself light
up. First, you need to use the rotary switch to set a speed between MIN and
MAX or press the smoothie button (10), the crushed ice button (11) or the
pulse button (12) to start the cutting blades (6) moving.
Press this button to activate the blender function. The cutting blades (6) then
rotate at a constant speed optimised for preparing smoothies. This function is
suitable for blending and chopping and for smoothies.
When this function is activated, there is a blue light on the button.
Press this button to activate the crushed ice function. The cutting blades (6)
then rotate at high-speed in intervals. This function is suitable for crushing ice
cubes.
When this function is activated, there is a blue light on the button. The
blender works in intervals to crush the ice. After 1 minute and 40 seconds,
the blender switches off automatically. If you think that the ice is already
properly crushed before this time has elapsed, you can cancel the ice-
crushing function at any time (press the crushed ice button again).
Press this button to activate the pulse function. The cutting blades (6) then
rotate at a higher speed for as long as you hold the pulse button pressed
down. This function is suitable for chopping foods and cleaning the blender
jug (4) and the cutting blades (6).
When this function is activated, there is a blue light on the button.
