8.5 Filling the blender jug while the blender is running

Warning!

When the blender is running, only ever open the measuring cap (1) and not the entire
blender jug (4) lid (2). Otherwise rotating food could be catapulted out.

When the measuring cap (1) is open, never insert cutlery or other items into the blender
jug (4). There is a danger of injury!
Proceed as follows to add ingredients while the blender is running:
1. Rotate the measuring cap (1) clockwise and remove it.
2. Add the desired ingredients to the blender jug (4).
3. Close the measuring cap (1). To do so, insert it into the lid (2)
and tighten in an anti-clockwise direction.

8.6 Removing the blender jug from the motor unit

1. Place the rotary switch (9) in the OFF position. If you are finished blending, disconnect the mains
plug from the mains socket.
2. Once the motor has stopped rotating, twist the blender jug (4) a little anticlockwise (the handle (5)
must point right).
3. Lift the blender jug (4) vertically off the motor unit (8).

8.7 General tips on using the blender

Warning about property damage!
Remove thick or tough fruit skins (e.g. pineapple, citrus fruits, etc.) before blending.

Wash or clean the ingredients.

If you wish to process solid ingredients, cut them into small pieces first (approx. 2 to 3 cm).

To puree solid ingredients, gradually add small amounts into the blender jug (4) with the measuring
cap (1) open. If necessary, add a little liquid.

If you wish to mix liquid ingredients, start with just a little liquid. Then gradually add small amounts of
liquid into the blender jug (4) with the measuring cap open (1).

If you are using fresh herbs, remove the stalks.
