Oven rack guides with telescopic
oven rails
The side walls of the cooking compartment
are equipped with baking tray guides (17)
with telescopic oven rails (18). These make
it easier to remove baking trays and the oven
rack from the oven, for example, to baste
roasts.

Remove the baking tray guides and the
telescopic oven rails when you need
more space in the oven, for example (see
„Removing and cleaning baking tray guides"
on page EN-21).

Function selector

Use the function switch to switch on the oven
and select the heating method: The oven light
and external cooling fan are switched on au-
tomatically.
The oven
Defrosting (fan only)
Defrosting merely circulates unheated
air within the cooking compartment. This
accelerates the defrosting process. No
heat is applied during defrosting. Please
observe the notes in section „Special
defrosting information" (see page EN-18).
Rapid heat
With the rapid heat function, the oven
reaches the set temperature fastest
(preheating). When the temperature is
reached, switch to the desired heating
method.
Convection
In convection mode, the heat is gen-
erated only by the ring heater, which
is positioned around the fan on the
rear wall of the oven. The fan dis-
tributes the heat evenly in the oven.
The choice of ovenware for baking with
convection is not too important. Cakes
will work in both light and dark bakeware.
You can also use this function to dehy-
drate food.
ECO heating mode
This optimised heating method saves
energy when preparing food. Oven
lighting is switched off
Convection and bottom heat
In this combined operation, the heat in
the oven is very intense. It is particular-
ly suitable for gratinated dishes, roasts,
bakes and pizza. The function is also
suitable for baking moist or heavy cakes,
fruit pies made from yeast dough or short
crust pastry, as well as cheesecakes.
For searing a roast, choose a high
temperature, then switch to a low-
er temperature. If the cooking time
takes longer than an hour according
to the recipe or based on your ex-
perience, keep cooking at 160 °C.
The working fan is audible during op-
eration.
