Safety
may not indicate the presence of
residual heat.
Allow the cooking zones to cool
–
completely before cleaning. Excep-
tion: Remove sugary or starchy con-
taminants, plastic or aluminium foil
from the hot glass ceramic immedi-
ately using a standard sharp scrap-
er. While doing so protect hands
from burns with oven gloves or pot
holders.
Oven
■
Hot steam can flow from the ex-
–
traction hood (ventilation) when
the oven is in use.
Never pour water directly into the
–
hot oven. The steam can cause
scalding and damage the enamel.
Allow hot water from the oven to
–
cool before pouring it out.
Do not leave the oven unattend-
–
ed while grilling or using pyrolysis.
Keep children away!
Allow the oven to cool completely
–
before cleaning.
Fire hazard!
Do not cover the appliance with blan-
■
kets, cloths or similar, as these objects
may become hot and catch fi re.
If a fi re starts, immediately turn all
■
switches to zero and switch off the
automatic circuit breakers and/or un-
screw the fuses. To extinguish the fi re,
use a suitable fi re extinguisher with
the designation "F'"or a fi re blanket.
Hob
■
Unattended cooking on a hob with fat
and oil can be dangerous and may re-
sult in fi re.
NEVER try to extinguish a fire with
–
water, but switch off the appliance
and then cover flame e.g. with a lid
or a fire blanket.
If you are preparing foods using al-
–
cohol, do not leave the cooker unat-
tended! Food may ignite of its own
accord.
Do not store items on the cooking
–
surfaces.
The cooking process has to be su-
–
pervised. A short term cooking
process has to be supervised con-
tinously.
Use only hob guards designed by
–
the manufacturer of the cooking
appliance or indicated by the man-
ufacturer of the appliance in the
instructions for use as suitable or
hob guards incorporated in the ap-
pliance. The use of inappropriate
guards can cause accidents.
Always switch the hob off com-
–
pletely after cooking!
Oven
■
Only ever operate the oven with the
–
oven door closed.
Do not cover cakes or roasts be-
–
ing cooked in the oven with baking
parchment. Do not allow food, bak-
ing parchment and aluminium foil
to come into contact with the heat-
ing elements.
Do not place food to be grilled too
–
far back near the end of the heat-
ing element. It is particularly hot
there. Fatty foods can catch fire.
