4.2 Periodic maintenance

This section describes some of the periodic maintenance
operations that should be performed and recommends the
frequency at which they should be done.
General maintenance operation
Check that screws are tightened to required torque
Stanchions cleaning
Air pressure control
Oil seals control
Oil change
TST2 / TST5 cartridge replacement
SFA / TST2 / TST5 / ATA Fork oil seals cartridge
replacement

Diagnosis
Seals are damaged,
stanchions could be damaged
Oil seals are contaminated;
fork needs to be serviced

Solution
Replace all seals and have the stanchions
inspected
Replace all seals
Tighten bottom nut/screw
Replace O-ring
Replace sliding bushings
Change oil
Restore the correct oil level
Change oil and carefully clean the ETA
cartridge
