4 Identification

4.1 Product description and type
designation
ULISSE RADICAL is the first ready to use Full HD
network PTZ system from Videotec that integrates
exceptional combinations of lens and camera, Full HD
1080p, 60fps and 1/2 " sensor.
To meet the most demanding video surveillance
specifications this PTZ unit can be equipped in
housing with optical 18x or 33x.
ULISSE RADICAL is certified ONVIF Profile S and is
compatible with the majority of VMS on the market:
for a complete control, the unit implements the
auxiliary controls for wiper, illuminator and heater.
If the VMS does not support these functions, ULISSE
RADICAL is equipped with the PTZ Assistant, an
application that enhances the desktop and allows the
use of the P&T functions without limitations.
The exceptional smoother tracking is guaranteed by
the powerful motors even at a minimum speed of
0.02°/sec.
The performance remains optimal even in complete
darkness thanks to powerful LED illuminators that
can reach distances of up to 200m.
ULISSE RADICAL is guaranteed without restrictions
for 3 years by the manufacturer, camera and motor
included.
Due to its characteristics of accuracy, reliability and
robustness, this PTZ camera is ideal solution for
the video control of large outdoor areas, including:
border patrol, harbour surveillance, long distance
perimeter surveillance, traffic and highways control,
military installations ...

4.2 Product markings

Pan & tilt devices have a label complying
with CE markings.

The label shows:
• Model identification code (Extended 3/9 bar code).
• Power supply (Volt).
• Frequency (Hertz).
• Current consumption (Amps).
• Weatherproof standard (IP).
• Serial number.

4.2.1 Checking the markings

Before proceeding further with installation, make
sure the material supplied corresponds to the order
specification by examining the marking labels.
Never, under any circumstances, make any changes
or connections that are not shown in this handbook.
Improper use of the appliance can cause serious
hazards, risking the safety of personnel and of the
installation.
