7. Operation

7.1

Authorisation

Depending on the configuration, using the device may
require prior authorisation. The following options are avail-
able:
„ No authorisation is required. All users can charge.
„ All users with an RFID card can charge.
„ All users whose RFID card is activated can charge.
„ Authorisation is dependent on a backend system, for
example with a smartphone app or ad hoc (e.g. direct
payment).
f Follow the directions on the text display.
f Follow the directions on the device (e.g. scan QR code).
The data are checked.

9 The authorisation was successful. The charging process
can now be started.
If charging does not start within the release time,
the authorisation is reset, the charging sock-
ets are locked and the device switches to the
"Standby" mode. A new authorisation is required.

Use of adapter plugs, extensions, or additional charging
cables in connection with the device can result in electric
shock or cable fire.
f Use only the charging cable intended for the vehicle
and the device.
f Do not use adapter plugs, extensions, or additional
charging cables to charge the vehicle.

Starting the charging process
The authorisation process is complete.

Make sure that vehicle and charging cable are suitable for
mode 3 charging.
f Connect the charging cable to the vehicle.
f Insert the plug fully into the charging socket type 2 of
the charging station.
9 The charging station locks the charging plug mechani-
cally. The vehicle signals the charging station that it is
ready for charging. The charging process starts.
