5.2.2 Preparing a new foundation

The operator of the charging system is responsible for the
secure installation of the charging system according to the
following specification.

Observe separate foundation plans.

Prepare the foundation:
f Excavate the foundation hole with the specified dimen-
sions.
f Insert the rectangular shaft elements 2 as permanent
formwork.
f Route the supply line 1 and optional the control lines in
an empty pipe 4 into the formwork.
f Close the opening 3 of the empty pipe with expanding
foam to avoid leakage of the concrete.
To achieve optimum strength, we recommend the
MENNEKES bed plate set available separately.

f Install the bed plate set 1.
f Insert the bed plate set in the form work.
f Rout the supply line 2 and optional the control lines
through the opening of the base plate.
f Align the bed plate set.
f Insert a foundation earth electrode 3 according to DIN
18014 (e.g. band-iron). Comply with local regulations!

f Cast the lower two thirds of the foundation with con-
crete of class C20/25.
f Allow the concrete to set.
