12. Function of the remote handset (Fig. 16)
12.1 Description
Important. The batteries (supplied) must be inserted before the remote
handset is used for the first time (see 12.2 Change batteries).
Each remote handset has its own transmitter code, which the drive can
learn. The transmitter code remains in the drive until it is overwritten. The
transmitter code is not erased in the event of a power failure.
The transmitter has 2 function keys (1/2), and the various keys can be used
for 3 channels (transmitter codes) each (6-channel transmitter). In other
words you can control 6 different door/gates with each remote handset.
The 3-color (green – red – orange) LED (3) visualizes which channel (trans-
mitter code) is sent. You can select the channel you wish to transmit by
pressing one of the two function keys (1/2) in a quick succession.
a) Selecting the channels on the remote handset

three others on the small function key (2).
You can select the channel by press the function keys (1/2) once or more
times, as follows:

- The LED (3) will be lit green
Channel 2:

- The LED (3) will be lit red
Channel 3:
Press the function key (1) 3x
- The LED (3) will be lit orange
Channel 4:
Press the small function key (2) 1x
- The LED (3) will be lit green
Channel 5:
Press the function key (2) 2x
- The LED (3) will be lit red
Channel 6:
Press the function key (2) 3x
- The LED (3) will be lit orange
After you release the function key (1/2) the selected channel will be trans-
mitted.
A maximum of six handsets can be taught.
12.2 Installing and changing batteries
To change the batteries (4), undo the remote handset, remove the bottom
housing cover and take out the batteries. Make sure that the poles are not
reversed when you change the batteries. Used batteries must be disposed
of properly.
12.3 Teaching the transmitter code

Additional handsets (optional) must undergo the following teach-in
process.

2. Press and hold function key 1 or 2 for the appropriate elected channel

13.1. Overview
Switch 1 ON = Automatic closing ON
Switch 1 OFF = Automatic closing OFF
Switch 2 ON = Start-up delay with pre-flashing
Switch 2 OFF = No start-up delay and therefore no pre-flashing
Switch 3 ON = Electric lock ON
Switch 3 OFF = Electric lock OFF
Switch 4 ON = Operate without light barrier
Switch 4 OFF = Operate with light barrier
Important. After changing the DIP switch setting it is essential that you
perform a "reset". To do this, press the Reset button (an acoustic confirma-

b) Setting the delay time for automatic closing
After opening the door/gate will remain open for a certain time before it
then closes automatically. This time can be set within a range of approx. 5
seconds to 8 minutes. The factory setting is 5 seconds.

When you press a button on the handset or a button connected to the con-
troller, a connected hazard light will start to flash and at the same time the
door/gate will start to open or close.
