Find the available dimensions A and B and compare the values with
those in the table (Fig. 3).
Each time you cut the mounting lug (5) down by one hole, dimension B
will be reduced by 25 mm. In certain circumstances this will make the
door drive a little faster. Before you cut the mounting lug, compare di-
mensions A and B with the table (Fig. 3).
Secure the pillar angle bracket (1) to the mounting lug for the drive (5) us-
ing 2x bolts M8x25 (2), 2x spring rings A8 (3) and 2x hexagonal nuts M8
(4). Then install the bolted pillar mount (6) to the drive (8) using the 12 mm
bolt (7) and secure the bolt with the split pin (9).
6.4 Preparing the drives
Note: Should it be necessary to adjust the drives during installation, first in-
stall the controller and connect the drives. The drives can be manually ad-
justed by pressing the "OPEN" and "CLOSE / START" buttons (see 11.1) in
installation mode (which is specially designed for this situation).
Important. Route the connection cables such that the cables cannot be
damaged.
6.5 Installing the mountings
Notes (Fig. 5 / 6 / 7)
A recess that can hold the drive must be made for doors/gates that are
fastened to a wall. Refer to the aforementioned information for
door/gate size.
The drive must be installed on masonry or concrete pillars using suit-
able materials, for example M8 heavy duty wall plugs for concrete or
composite adhesive anchors for masonry (neither of these items is
supplied).
Note: Plastic wall plugs will not generally withstand the stresses in-
volved.
Use suitable 8 mm wood screws to install the drive on wooden pillars
(not supplied).
For installing the drive to steel posts or the steel frame of the door/gate,
the fittings can be welded or bolted straight to them.
We recommend that you fit an additional mechanical stop to the
door/gate that closes first (Fig. 12; M1).
Installation on pillars
1. Fit the mounting on the pillar in such a way as to produce the values for
installation dimensions A + B that you selected earlier.
2. The height depends on the dimensions of the door/gate. We recom-
mend approx. 1/3 of the door/gate height or to a frame part of the
door/gate. The drive must be installed in a horizontal position in any
event.
3. Now install the drive, ensuring that the cable bushings are at the bot-
tom.
Installation on the door/gate panels
1. Close the door/gate.
2. Secure the door/gate mount on the door/gate panel (for example using
a screw clamp). After fixing the limit positions (see sections 7 and 8)
the fittings can be secured to the door/gate (fastening materials for the
door/gate angle brackets are not supplied). If distance B is less than
150 mm, we recommend that you cut the lug (5) appropriately.

7. Installing the controller

Notes
The controller housing (Fig. 12 / Item 1) must be installed vertically and
with no torsion in a suitable position (not on a metal pillar) near a drive
unit.
The cable bushings must enter from below.
If possible, shield the controller housing with a covering to protect it
from the elements.
Important. Do not use metal covers since they will screen the radio
waves and reduce the range of the remote control system.
The integral antenna is positioned perfectly for most cases in the loca-
tion as supplied. If you nevertheless suffer range problems, you can
reposition the antenna (AN connector) as required inside the housing
until you achieve an adequate range.
The ground wire of the antenna (GND connector) must always point
16
downwards when the controller has been installed.
If the range of the remote control is inadequate, you can purchase an
optional additional antenna, spare part No. 21.025.10.60 to connect to
the controller (please contact the Customer Service Department).
Installation
1. Undo the cover screws and remove the cover
2. Mark the dimensions of the hole pattern and drill the holes (4x Ø8 mm),
insert the plugs and secure the housing with four screws.

Notes
The controller must be connected to the power supply (230V ~ 50 Hz)
by a trained electrician in accordance with VDE 0100 (see safety infor-
mation).
All electrical cables must be suited for outdoor use and routed in cable
conduits or pipes to protect them from mechanical damage.
All electrical cables must be fed into the controller housing through rub-
ber grommets.
We recommend that the cables be routed in a pipe so that it can be re-
placed if defective.
Connect the drives as shown in the connection diagram (section 9).
Important. Never connect the drives direct to the 230 V supply.
Use the two supplied branching boxes to connect the drives (Fig. 1 / Item
7).
