2 Safety Instructions
Failure to follow the safety instructions given below can lead
to damage to or malfunction of the product. Follow the safety
instructions and the precautions specified in this accompanying
document.
• Before you process the 617H21=* Orthocryl Sealing Resin and 617P37=*
Hardening Powder, please first read the relevant safety data sheet.
• Use the Patient Information section of this pamphlet (Section 3) to inform
your patient about the function and use of the tube valve.
3 Patient Information
• Regularly clean the socket, the connection tube and the tube valve us-
ing a cloth slightly moistened with a soap solution. Rinse thoroughly.
• To degrease the tube valve and connection tube, use 640F18 Donning
Spray for Silicone Liners.
• Make sure that no foreign particles get into the tube valve.
• The tube valve should not be subjected to intense smoke, dust, mechani-
cal vibrations, shocks or high temperatures.
• In case of noticeable leakage, the tube valve should be removed from
the connection tube. Rinse the tube valve and connection tube with
water and dry it. Reinsert the tube valve.
• Put the tube valve into the connection tube just deep enough to be in
slight contact with the skin, then close the valve

5 Function
The 12V10 Tube Valve for the Suction Socket is a one-way valve, which
allows air to escape from the socket but prevents air from entering. Due
to the movement of the residual limb in the inner socket, air is constantly
being pumped out through the tube valve. The resulting, minor vacuum
helps create optimal linkage with the patient's residual limb.
