6 Application
Pull the residual limb into the socket using the pull-in sock or Gliding Sock.
Once the pull-in sock has been pulled completely out of the connection
tube, reinsert and close the tube valve.
The function of the Suction Socket or re-equipped Standard Socket in
myoelectric prostheses is only guaranteed when used in combination with
the 12V10 Tube Valve and 13E202=* Suction Socket Electrode(s).
7 Fabrication Instructions
Note: For clear presentation the outer and inner socket have
been shown cut open in the following sections.
Finish the Inner and Outer Socket according to the Instructions for Use
647G334 for the 13E202=* Suction Socket Electrode. Insert the 99B13=21
connection tube into the inner socket and create an airtight seal using
636K11 Cyamet Quick Drying Adhesive.
Note: The connection tube must be flush with the bottom of the
socket to prevent chafing of the residual limb (Arrow Fig. 1).
Mount the inner and outer socket. The connection tube must be sanded
flush with the exterior side of the outer socket (Fig. 2).
7.1 Cutting the Tube Valve to Length
The tube valve must be flush inside the connection tube to avoid chafing
of the residual limb.
1.) Place the tube valve into the connection tube and close it. It must be
flush with the outer side of the socket (Fig. 3)
2.) Mark the tube valve at the bottom of the socket (Arrow Fig. 3).
Note: When cutting off the tube valve, take care that at least 20
mm are left up to the valve head (Fig. 4).
3.) Cut off the tube valve as marked, trim off any burrs and sand smooth.
Remove sticker.
