For transfemoral amputees, the rear wheels must be shifted backwards!
To adjust the horizontal position of the rear wheel first remove the countersunk
head screws (Fig. 7, items A, B). Choose the desired position and re-assemble
the screws (Fig. 7, items A, B) using a 10 Nm torque wrench.
Ensure that both the left and right rear wheel adapters are set in the same
horizontal position on either side of the frame.
Please note: Please be aware that changes in the rear wheel position will effect
both the angle of the caster wheel journal in relation to the ground, which may
then have to be altered so the forks are at 90°, and the wheel lock effectiveness,
which will require re-adjustment.
Ensure all screws and nuts are firmly re-tightened after making adjustments!

Adjusting the Rear Wheel Position in the Rear
Wheel Adapter T, Ti 8.9 and VR
Each change of position of the quick-release axle housing in the rear wheel adapter has an influ-
ence on the posterior seat height and the center of gravity! The relation of anterior and posterior
seat height represents the individual seat inclination.
The higher you attach the rear wheel in the rear wheel adapter, the more the seat pitches down.
This has two effects: First, the wheelchair has a greater tendency to tilt backwards; second, the
user sits deeper in the wheelchair and thus has more stability.
