If your wheelchair is equipped with height adjustable push handles, ensure that
the clamping levers are firmly tightened.
Always engage the wheel locks when stationary, on uneven ground or during
transfers (e.g. to a car).
The effectiveness of the wheel lock and the general ease of driving are dependent
on adequate and equal tire pressures. Correctly inflated rear tires considerably
improve the maneuverability of the wheelchair.
Therefore, before using your wheelchair, check the pneumatic tires are correctly
inflated. The air pressure is indicated on the side wall of the tire. For rear wheels, it
should be at least . bar (0 kPa). Efficiency of the brakes can only be ensured
if sufficient air pressure and correct adjustment (maximum distance of  mm,
subject to technical alterations) have been made.
Ensure the tires also have sufficient tread depth.
Please note that when using your wheelchair in the public traffic, you are
subjected to observe the traffic regulations according to the vehicle regulations for
your area.
If using your wheelchair at night ensure you are visible in the darkness, by wearing
light colored clothes or clothing with reflectors, and ensure the reflectors installed
at the side and the rear of the wheelchair are clearly visible. We also highly
recommend attaching active lighting as well.
For transfemoral amputees, an extended wheelbase is required.
When using lifting platforms, ensure the anti-tipper is within the lifting platform's
perimeter.
If the upholstery becomes worn or damaged, replace it immediately.
Use caution near flammables or fire, especially when holding lit cigarettes. The
seat and backrest upholstery might catch fire.
To avoid hand injuries, do not grip between rear wheel and wheel lock while
maneuvering your wheelchair.
