ob-served at all costs when operating electric tools!

the appar-atus!
Keep these safety instructions in a safe place.
1. The work area must be kept clean and tidy! Lack of
tidiness in the work area can lead to accidents!
2. Do not leave electric tolls out in the rain! Do not
use appar-atus in damp, wet locations or in the
vicinity of inflammable liquids or gases. Ensure that
the work area is well lit.
3. Prevent casing from coming into contact with
earthed objects such as pipes, radiators, electric
cookers, refrigerators etc. Avoid body contact with
fully isolated equipment.
4. Keep children away from the apparatus! Prevent
other people from touching the apparatus or cable.
5. Any tools not in use must be locked away safely
somewhere dry out of the reach of children.

which they where not in-tended. Eg. Do not use a
circular hand saw to fell trees or cut branches.
8. Wear suitable working clothes! Do not wear
loosefiting cloth-ing or jewellry. Loose-fitting
garments can get caught in moving parts. It is
recommended that rubber gloves and non-slip
footwear be worn when working out of doors. Wear a
hairnet if you have long hair.

use the power cable to carry the apparatus. Do not
use the cable to pull the plug out of the electric
socket. Protect cable from heat, oil and sharp
edges!
11. Secure the working part! Use holding fixtures or a
vice to hold the working part steady. This is safer
than holding it in your hand and also leaves you both
arms free to operate the machine.
12. Find a steady position to work in (avoid unnatural
posture) and keep your balance at all times.
13. Look after your tools carefully! Only sharp and clean
tools will work cleanly and safely! Follow both
maintenance instructions and directions for tool
replacements. Check plug and power cable regulary
and have them repaired at an authorized service
depot if damaged. Extension cables must also be
checked at regular intercvals and replaced if
damaged. Always keep hand grips on the appliance
clean and dry and free of oil and grease.
14. Remove the power plug whenever the apparatus is
not in use, before servicing and replacing parts, eg.
saw blade, drill and all kinds of machine tols.
15. Do not leave tool spanners inside the apparatus!
Before switching on, check that all tool spanner and
adjusting keys have been removed.
16. Avoid the apparatus being switched on inad-

switch. Make sure that the apparatus is swichted off
when plugging it into the mains.

extensions cables authorized and designated for this

18. Work using electric tools demands your full
attention! Monitor your work. DO not use the appa-
ratus if you feel you are lacking in concentration.
19. Check the apparatus for damage! Before using the
apparatus, carefully check that protective equipment
or slightly damaged parts are in perfect working
order. Check that moving parts are functioning
properly; there must be no jamming and they must
be free from damage. All parts must be correctly
assembled in accordance with instructions to ensure
perfect performance. Damaged protective equipment
and parts must be repaired or replaced by an
authorized service depot unless otherwise stated in
the operating instructions. Faulty switches must be
replaced by an authorized service depot. Do not use
any apparatus where the ON/OFF switch does not
work.
20. For your own safrty, use electric tools only for
those purposes indicated in the operating manual.
Use only those attachements which are re-
commended by the manufacturer. Use any
attachements other than those recommended by the
manufacturer in the operating manual may increase
the risk of accident or injury.
21. Attention! Be especially careful when working on
ladders and scaffolding. Make sure ladders cannot
slip.
22. Never touch moving parts ans fittings unless the
apparatus is switched off and unplugged at the
mains!
23. Certain types of electric tools may give rise to loud
noise. In such cases it is recommended that some
of ear protection be worn!
24. When drilling or screwing in walls, make sure there
is no danger of hitting hidden power, water or gas
supply lines.
25. Connect dust extractor. If your electrical tool is
designed with dust extraction fittings, ensure that
the dust extractor fittings are connected and that
they are used correctly. Vacuum cleaners must be
suitable for the material to be extracted.
26. Electrical tools must only be repaired by qualified
personnel. This electrical tool has been
manufactured in accordance with the relevant safety
regulations. To avoid the considerable danger to the
user, repairs must only be carried out by qualified
personnel and only with original replacement parts.
27. Residual risk! Allthough this information sheet and
the operating manuals for our electrical tools contain
extensive instructions on safe working with electrical
tools, every electrical tool involves a certain
residual risk which can not be completly excluded by
safety mechanisms. Electrical tools must therefore
always be operated with necessary caution!
