4.4.2 DESCRIPTION OF OPERATION

The machine frame can reduce its road clearance to 3.00 metres
necessary for transport. Using the hydraulic system, cylinders are
activated that retract the side fl aps within the central frame contour.
Before and after activating the hydraulic system, check the
correct position of the pins and safety systems.
Do not stand near the machine when opening or closing the
frame.
Frame opening and closing is controlled by a junction box (Fig.
19), which acts on the solenoid valve performing the following
operations:
0) Holding position during road driving;
1) Opening and closing of the frame side fl aps;
2) Blocking and releasing side fl aps from work position (line D2);
3) Movement of 4 carriages (line D1) and driving row marker arms
(line D2)
ATTENZIONE
Operate on a fl at surface to correctly move the machine.

4.4.3 OPENING THE FRAME IN WORK POSITION

NOTES:
- The following procedure requires the machine to be hitched to
the tractor (see chap. 4.1) and the switch of the junction box at
(0, Fig. 19).
1) Open the valve of the carriage lifting circuit near the tractor
hitches (F, Fig. 18, line D1).
2) Activate «line D1» to lift the machine until the pistons of the
central carriages are fully extended (machine completely lifted
from the ground, Fig. 20).
3) Turn the switch of the junction box to (1, Fig. 19) and activate
«line D2» of the hydraulic circuit to completely open the side
fl aps. The central safety hitch will lift up automatically when the
circuit is activated.
4) Turn the switch of the junction box to (2, Fig. 19) and activate
«line D2» of the hydraulic circuit until the side locking latches
are completely inserted (Fig. 21).
NOTE: make sure the side latches are completely inserted.
If the latches do not activate, it could be because the side
fl aps are not opened completely. Check and if needed repeat
the procedure from point 3.
5) Activate «line D1» of the hydraulic circuit to lower the machine
all the way to the ground (Fig. 22).
6) Turn the switch of the junction box to (3, Fig. 19) and activate
respectively «line D1» of the hydraulic circuit to lift and lower
the machine for fi eld end manoeuvres and «line D2» to control
the row marker arms.
For any manoeuvre other than sowing, always lift the machine
to fully extend the four hydraulic cylinders.
