8.3.1 calorie consumption
This heart rate monitor offers you the facility during training of monitoring and displaying
your calorie consumption. Calorie consumption is obtained from the pulse measured, the
training time and the personal parameters to be set beforehand (sex, weight and age).
The calorie calculator operates additively. This means that with pulse measurement/stop-
watch activated, the calorie consumption is continuously and cumulatively recorded.
To reset this value to zero, press the UP/LIGHT button while the pulse measurement is
activated. This value is automatically reset to zero when the battery is changed.
Your heart rate monitor can also store your calorie consumption of the
last 7 training units.
To store your current calorie consumption, you must press the
START/STOP button while the pulse measurement/stopwatch is de-
activated.
To call up the stored values, you must keep the START/STOP button pressed. The memory number
appears at bottom right. You can now set the training you require with UP/LIGHT.
If you store more than 7 values, the oldest value is automatically super-
seded by the latest one.
8.3.2 time within the training zone
Here you can show the times that you have used within your previously
set training limits.
8.3.3 Alarm on exceeding the training limits
You can now use the UP/LIGHT button to activate the training alarm and set the volume of
the alarm signal in the event that the upper and lower pulse limits are exceeded.

With this recovery test, you have the facility for checking
B/M
how quickly your pulse rate reduces after physical exer-
tion. The faster your pulse returns to normal, the better is
your training condition. The recovery test should be car-
ried out either at the end of training or during an interval
