• Never operate the machine without the safety cap
being firmly closed.
• Leave the nozzle pointing at one location only for
a few seconds - surfaces can be damaged during
longer exposure to heat and damp.
• Do not use this machine to clean swimming pools.
• Turn off the machine before pulling the plug from the
mains. Turn off the machine and pull the plug out
before filling the water container. Leave the machine
to cool down for 30 minutes before removing the
filler cap in order to refill the machine with water.
mCaution! This is how you will prevent damage to
the machine and injury to people potentially result-
ing from such damage:
• Do not work with a faulty, incomplete machine or a
machine that has been modified without the manu-
facturer's permission. Before commissioning, have
a specialist check that all required electrical safety
measures are in place.
• Do not operate the machine if the mains cable or
other important parts such as the hose or spray gun
are damaged.
• Protect the machine from frost and running dry.
• Hoses, fittings and couplers are important for the
machine's safety. Only ever use hoses, fitting and
couplers recommended by the manufacturer.
• To ensure the machine's safety, only ever use the
manufacturer's original spare parts or spare parts
approved by the manufacturer.
• Only a qualified electrician may open the machine. If
the machine has to be repaired, please contact our
Service Centre.
• Make sure that electric connections never come in
contact with water!
• Always use the weed killer with the supplied lock.
• Ensure that the mains cable never gets wet or damp
during operation. Route the cable in such a way that
it cannot be jammed or otherwise damaged.
• After using the machine, always pull the plug from
the mains. Simply turning it off will not be enough
because there is still mains voltage in the machine
as long as the plug is connected to the mains.
• Before using the machine, check it for visible dam-
age. Do not use the machine if it is damaged or has
been dropped.
Electrical safety:
m Warning: This is how you can prevent accidents
and injury by electric shock:
• If you are using an extension lead, the plug and cou-
pler must be waterproof.
m Unsuitable extension leads can be dangerous.
There is a risk of personal injury by electric shock.
• Protect the electric plug connection from getting wet.
• If there is a risk of flooding, attach the plug connec-
tion in an area that cannot flood.
• Ensure that the mains voltage corresponds with the
information on the rating plate.
• The mains connection has to be carried out by an
experienced electrician and meet IEC 60364-1 re-
quirements.
• Only ever connect the machine to a socket with re-
sidual current circuit breaker (FI switch) with trigger
power of no more than 90 mA.
• Before each use, check the machine, cable and plug
for damage.
• If this machine's mains connection is damaged, it
has to be replaced by the manufacturer, the manu-
facturer's customer service or a similarly qualified
agent in order to prevent hazards.

• Do not use the cable to pull the plug from the sock-
et. Protect the cable from heat, oil and sharp edges.
• Do not carry or mount the machine by the cable.
• Only ever use extension leads which are splash-
proof and designed for use outdoors. Before use, al-
ways completely roll the cable from the drum. Check
the cable for damage.
• Remove the plug from the socket before all work on
the machine, before rest periods and when the ma-
chine is not being used.
• Mains cables may not have a smaller cross section
than 2 x1.5 mm².
• Charge the batteries only in chargers that have been
recommended by the manufacturer. There is a risk
of fire if a charger for a particular type of battery is
used for another type of battery.
• Use only the designated type of battery in the power
tool. Use of other batteries can cause injury and fire.
• While the battery is not being used, keep it away
from paperclips, coins, keys, nails, screws and other
small metal objects which could bridge the contacts.
A short-circuit between the battery contacts can
cause burns or fire.
• If used incorrectly, liquid may leak from the battery.
Avoid contact with it. In the event of accidental con-
tact, rinse with water. If the liquid gets in your eyes,
also consult your doctor. Leaking battery liquid can
cause skin irritation and burns.
• WARNING! RISK OF EXPLOSION! Never try to
charge non-rechargeable batteries.

Before commissioning

• The position of the machine must be stable.
• Before commissioning, all safety devices must be
installed correctly.
• Before connecting the machine, ensure that the data
on the rating plate complies with the mains data.
• Only ever plug the machine into an appropriately
installed shockproof socket which is fused with at
least 16 A.
Setup
Warning! Disconnect the plug before all maintenance,
retooling and assembly work on the weed killer.
Place all supplied parts on a flat surface. Group the
same parts.
