SAS-TEC back protector
A foam protector made by SAS-TEC is additionally fitted in the upper back area.
These protectors made from viscoelastic soft foam were first used in motorcycling
and skiing. They are very light and provide optimal protection and pressure
distribution in the back area. In the case of an impact, this distributes the pressure
of hard objects, such as stones or drinking bottles, over a larger area and helps to
avoid severe injury.
Colour-coded leg loops and
hang points
Colour-coded leg loop buckles
and hang points make pre-flight
preparations and safety checks
easier. This means the VENTUS
is especially suitable for instruc-
tion. The colour-coding featured
on the PRION, IBEX and ION 5
Light risers is continued on the
VENTUS.

Chest strap protector
To protect against wear during ground-
handling, we have fitted the VENTUS
with chest strap padding.
When closing the buckles, the right
strap must be threaded under the tape.
Further technical details
A piece of Velcro on either shoulder
strap can be used to secure a mini-vario
or the radio pocket (supplied with the
harness). The radio pocket can be
attached in two different positions.
There is a zip pocket for cameras,
wallets, etc. on both sides of the
harness.
