2.1 Inscriptions and Symbols on the Unit
Input for measuring current in the ampere measuring area up
10 A
to 10 A - AC/DC. In the 10 A range the measuring time must
be limited to a maximum of 15 seconds and the next measur-
ing should happen no sooner than after 15 minutes. This
measuring area is not protected with a fuse. If the current is
higher than 10 A, the unit can be destroyed.
mA
Input for measuring current of up to 200 mA-AC/DC. The
input is protected with a fuse (F250 mA / 250 V Ø5x20 mm).

Dangerously high voltage between the inputs. Use extreme
caution when taking a measurement. Do not touch the inputs
and the metal tips of the probes.

2.2 Connecting the Measuring Cables
The maximum allowable input voltage is 300 V (CAT III), 600 V
(CAT II) resp. 1000 V (CAT I) and may not be exceeded.
The measuring category I is intended for taking measurements on
circuitry not directly connected to the power mains.
The measuring category II is intended for taking measurements on
low-voltage circuitry. Examples for this are household appliances,
mobile electric devices or similar equipment.
The measuring category III is intended for taking measurements on
house installations. Examples are distribution boxes, circuit break-
