7. Transmitter Controls

1 Wheel for the steering function
2 Throttle/brake lever for forwards/reverse driving and
brake
This controls the drive (forwards and reverse drive) and
the vehicle's brake function. For this, see chapter 9. f)
in these operating instructions.
3 Battery compartment
Either insert 3 batteries or 3 NiMH rechargeable
batteries (each type AA/mignon) in the vehicle in the
correct polarity. The polarity is indicated in the battery
compartment.
4 Trim control „ST.TRIM" for steering function
Use this trim control to set the straight driving alignment
of the vehicle. Adjust the front wheels at the stationary
vehicle so that they are aligned about in parallel. The
exact setting of the straight driving alignment is carried
out later when driving the vehicle.
5 Dual rate dial „ST.D/R" for steering function
The dual rate dial is used to limit the possible steering
angle of the steering servo when moving the dial (1).
This enables finer control e.g. at higher speeds.
Turn the dial to the right = larger steering angle at full
deflection of the dial (1)
Turn the dial to the left = smaller steering angle at full
deflection of the dial (1)
6 Trim control „TH.TRIM" for neutral position for the drive
For the vehicle to stop when the lever (2) is released,
the neutral position can be set precisely with this trim
control.
7 Slider „ST.REV" for reverse function of the steering
If the vehicle's steering responds in exactly the opposite
direction to the movement of the steering dial (1), you
can reverse the servo rotational direction using this
slider.
