1. Release throttle/braking lever, vehicle rolls to a halt (or does not move, if required, correct trimming), lever is in
neutral position
2. Drive forwards, slowly pull the throttle/brake lever towards the handle
3. Drive forwards and then brake (vehicle slows down; it does not roll to a halt slowly); push throttle/brake lever away
from the handle without stopping
4. Drive forwards and then go into reverse (wait briefly between the change (approx. 1 - 2 seconds) and leave the
lever in its neutral position!)
If the neutral position is not correct (e.g. trimming control slightly off), you cannot switch between forward and
reverse driving. If you have this problem, correct the trimming settings for the driving function at the transmitter.
If this does not help any, programme the neutral position and the full throttle positions for forward and
reverse programmed, see chapter 10.
Stop driving immediately if the vehicle shows any unusual responses to the remote commands or if the
vehicle does not respond at all.
This behaviour could be caused by low drive batteries, low batteries/rechargeable batteries in the remote
control or by too great a distance between vehicle and remote control.
A torn or damaged telescopic aerial, interferences on the radio channel used (e.g. radio transmissions from
other devices) or adverse transmission/reception conditions may also cause unusual responses of the vehicle.
Since the receiver is supplied with power through the speed controller BEC and thus through the drive
battery, low or empty drive batteries will cause unintentional movement of the vehicle.
At full throttle, the voltage of the drive battery drops to the point where the receiver no longer receives the
required battery voltage. The vehicle will speed up, but the steering servo does not react properly. Stop
operating the vehicle at once and use a new, fully charged drive battery (wait for 5 - 10 minutes before for the
motor/speed controller to sufficiently cool off).
