g) Switching on
Put the on/off switch of the speed controller (see figure in chapter 9. f) in the „ON" position. Then wait for a few seconds
(leave the throttle/brake lever on the transmitter in the neutral position; do not move it).
The motor emits 4 sound signals, then the vehicle is ready for operation.
The sounds are generated by a short start-up of the motor by the speed controller. Depending on motor, the
sounds may be very low.
If only 2 sound signals are audible and the steering servo can be controlled, but the motor cannot, the
neutral position was not recognised correctly.
In this case, re-programme the neutral position and the full throttle positions for forward and reverse
programmed, see chapter 10.
Now check the drive and steering functions of the vehicle.

h) Controlling the Vehicle

Operate the throttle/braking lever for the drive function at the transmitter very cautiously and do not drive too
fast at the beginning until you get used to the car's reactions. Do not make any quick and jerky movements
with the operating elements of the remote control.
Never point the transmitter aerial directly onto the vehicle. It will strongly decrease the range. The maximum
range will be achieved when the aerial of the transmitter and vehicle are both vertical and in parallel to each
other.
If the vehicle tends to pull towards the left or the right when driving straight, set the steering trim on the transmitter
accordingly.
The LED at the speed controller is lit orange in neutral position; it goes out when driving forward or backward.
If the transmitter signal is lost, the speed controller turns off the motor for safety reasons (the steering servo may
vibrate, however, if no failsafe is installed). The same applies in case of overtemperature of the speed controller.
In the home position at delivery, the throttle/braking lever must be put in the neutral position (neutral position = let go
of lever, do not move it) briefly (approx. 1 - 2 seconds) between forward and reverse driving.
If the throttle/brake lever is moved from forward to reverse directly, the brake function of the drive is activated (vehicle
will NOT reverse).
Different driving modes can be selected via the programming card available as an accessory and, e.g.,
reverse driving can be deactivated.
In the basic settings at delivery, however, forward and reverser driving with the brake. See the next page on how to
control this (the figure of the throttle/brake lever of the transmitter does not have to match that of the enclosed transmitter).
