b) Removing the mechanical unit

To adjust the lower main rotor and to adjust the receiver/
control unit, the mechanical unit must be removed from
the fuselage.
Practical tip:
To make sure you will later on be able to re-assemble the
helicopter as it was before, it is recommended to mark the
rotor blades and the linkage side of the flybar.
First of all, remove the four rotor blades and unhinge the
flybar.
Use a small screw driver to lever off the retaining plates
on the side (see ill. 17, pos. 5). Then lift the flybar upwards.
After unhinging the linkage (see ill. 17, pos. 4) the flybar
can be taken off.
Pull off the two rear wheels including the landing gear (1)
downwards, turning them slightly.
Then the four body screws (2) can be unscrewed.
Caution!
Front and rear screws have different sizes!
Carefully push apart the opening at the bottom of the fuselage so that the two rear landing gear retainers can be taken
out first. Then the front part of the mechanical unit is tilted downwards.
Important!
To allow the two rotor heads (ill. 18, pos.4) to fit through the top fuselage opening, they have to be
aligned exactly according to the flying direction. First the front blade holder (see ill. 18, pos. 3) is inserted
into the fuselage through the top opening, then the rear blade holder (see ill. 18, pos. 4).
Now the mechanical unit can be removed completely from the bottom of the fuselage.
Our tip:
After removing the mechanical unit we recommend re-attaching the rear wheels to allow the mechanical
unit to stand firmly (see ill. 18, bottom).
Re-installing the mechanical unit is done likewise in reversed order.
