c) Charging rechargeable batteries in the transmitter
When using rechargeable batteries, you can attach a charging cable to the charging socket (see illustration 2, pos. 5)
while the transmitter is switched off and charge the rechargeable batteries in the transmitter. Always make sure the
polarity of the connecting plug is correct. The inner contact of the charging socket must be connected to the positive
terminal (+) and the outer contact to the negative terminal (-) of the charger. The charging current should correspond
to approximately 1/10 of the capacity value of the rechargeable batteries that are inserted. In order to avoid damage to
the internal conductor paths, please do not use any quick chargers.
Connect the charger only if rechargeable batteries (1.2 V/cell) have been inserted in the
transmitter. Never try to recharge normal batteries (1.5 V/cell) with the charger; risk of explosion
and fire!
When the rechargeable batteries are fully charged or new batteries have been inserted, switch on the transmitter with
the function switch (see illustration 1, pos. 6) to test it.
The two red, two yellow and two green LEDs of the LED bar display (see illustration 1, pos. 2) start flashing (frequency
trimming). After about 10 seconds the LEDs glow continuously to indicate the transmitter's power supply is sufficient.
If the power supply is not sufficient to ensure proper operation, the two green LEDs go out. In this case, you should
stop operating your model as quickly as possible. When the voltage is below 8 V, the two yellow LEDs go out as well.
To continue operating the transmitter, recharge the batteries or insert new batteries.
In order to avoid a memory effect of NiCd rechargeable batteries, you should connect the charger only when the
rechargeable batteries are completely discharged.

c) Setting up the transmitting aerial

Radio transmission is optimal when the aerial is positioned perpendicular to the transmission path between the transmitter
and the receiver.
Radio transmission is weakest when the tip of the aerial points directly to the model.
