e) Connecting the flight battery
Important information!
After switching on the transmitter and connecting the flight battery, the transmitter and the receiver have
to carry out frequency trimming. For this reason, it is imperative to observe the sequence in which the
parts are switched on. Otherwise the model will not respond to the transmitter's signals.
Please note:
During frequency trimming, no other 2.4 GHz remote control transmitter should be operated in the
vicinity.
Move the control stick for the pitch function (see illustration
1, pos. 8) as well as the corresponding trim slider (see
illustration 1, pos. 9) to the lowest position.
Then turn on the transmitter using the function switch (see
illustration 1, pos. 6). The LED bar display indicating the
operating voltage (see ill. 1, pos. 2) flashes for approx. 10
seconds.
Within 10 seconds, connect the flight battery to the model
using the reverse-polarity-protected BDC connector (1).
Important!
As the gyro stabiliser is initialised at the
same time, the model helicopter must not
be moved or turned directly after connecting
the flight battery.
As soon as the receiver/control unit is connected to the
flight battery, frequency trimming with the transmitter takes
place.
During this time, the LED display (2) on the left side of the
receiver/control unit flashes at very short intervals.
When the receiver is tuned to the transmitter, the
swashplate servos (see ill. 19) move into home position.
In this position the swashplate must be aligned absolutely
horizontally. The LED on the receiver/control unit glows
continuously.
