b) Before operation
• Always switch on the transmitter first and connect the flight battery of the helicopter to the receiver and control unit
directly afterwards. This is the only way to ensure that frequency trimming between transmitter and receiver takes
place. This enables your model to respond to control signals reliably.
• Check the functional reliability of your model and of the remote control system. When doing so, make sure there is
no visible damage such as defective plug connections or damaged cables. All movable parts of the model must run
smoothly, but should not have any play in their bearings.
• Charge the flight battery, which is necessary for operation, as well as the rechargeable battery needed in the remote
control according the instructions indicated by the manufacturer.
• As power source for the plug-in charger, use a 230 V/50 Hz mains socket of the public power supply only. Never try
to operate the device using any other voltage.
• If batteries are used for the power supply of the transmitter, make sure that there is sufficient remaining capacity
(battery tester). If the batteries are empty, always replace the complete set, never replace individual cells.
• Before operation, always control the settings of the trim slider on the transmitter for the various steering directions
and, if necessary, adjust them.
c) During Operation
• Do not take any risks when operating the product! Your own safety and that of your surroundings depend on your
responsibly handling the model.
• Improper operation can cause serious personal injury or material damage! Therefore, during operation, make sure
there is sufficient safe distance to persons, animals or objects.
• Fly your model only if your ability to respond is unrestricted. Tiredness or the influence of alcohol or medicine can
lead to false responses.
• The motor, the receiver/control unit and the flight battery can heat up during operation. Therefore, wait for 5 to 10
minutes before re-charging the flight battery or before flying with a spare flight battery.
• Always leave the remote control (transmitter) turned on as long as the model is in operation. After landing, always
disconnect the flight battery from the receiver/control unit first. Only then may you turn off the remote control.
• During operation, never turn off the transmitter before disconnecting the flight battery from the receiver/control unit.
• Do not expose your model or the remote control to direct sunlight or excessive heat over a long period of time.
