10. Operating the model helicopter

a) Charging the flight battery
The flight battery (1) is charged using the plug-in charger
(2) supplied. For safety reasons, always remove the battery
from the model to charge it.
Connect the flight battery to the charger cable of the plug-
in charger using the reverse-polarity-protected BDC
connector (3). A red LED (4) on the plug-in charger is on
during the charging process. If the LED colour turns green,
the flight battery is fully charged and must be disconnected
from the plug-in charger.
For illustration purposes, the charger cable of the wall power supply is shown coiled up. Before the first
use, the cable tie must be opened and the cable must be unwound.
Caution!
During the charging process, place the LiPo battery on a fire-proof surface or in a suitable pottery
container. Only use the supplied plug-in charger to charge the flight battery included in delivery or an
original replacement!
Never charge the flight battery unattended.
The plug-in charger is to be used in dry indoor locations only. It must not get damp or wet. Never touch
it when your hands are wet or damp. There is a risk of a fatal electric shock.
The LiPo rechargeable battery must not get damp or wet. There is a risk of fire or explosion!
