11. Fine-tuning the model helicopter

a) Checking and adjusting the upper main rotor

Caution!
Always disconnect the flight battery before servicing or calibrating the model.
The angle of attack of the upper rotor blades is set by the
flybar (1).
Should the tips of the upper rotor blades not be on the
same level, the angle of attack of the rotor blades can be
adjusted.
It has become a proven method to mark a rotor blade with
a certain colour to help determine which blade is too high
and which blade is too low.
If the right rotor blade (2) in ill. 17 is too high or the left
blade (3) is too low, use a pair of long nose pliers to remove
the lower ball socket of the linkage (4) and shorten the
linkage by screwing the ball socket on an extra revolution.
Check if the change is sufficient and repeat the step if necessary.
