8. Final Assembly of the Model Helicopter

a) Installing the Skid Undercarriage
Use four 3x10mm screws to attach the undercar-
riage brackets to the chassis (figure 2a, item 1).
Figure 2a item 2 shows four eyelets. These eye-
lets are intended for Bowden tubes. For this, also
observe the notes in the later chapter „Installing
the Receiver Aerial".

Push the landing skids into the undercarriage as
shown in figure 2b. Ensure that the skids are
aligned symmetrically. The skids are attached to
the undercarriage with the four M3 hexagon socket
screws (1).
Suitable screws can be found in a bag that comes
with your construction set.
Practical advice:
Screw the hexagon socket screws into the plas-
tics undercarriage as shown in figure 2b. This has
the advantage that the screws are self-locking. The
disadvantage is that the hexagon socket screws
may be very difficult to screw in. If you are unable
to screw them in, re-cut the thread with a suitable
thread-cutter or a conventional M3 screw (for a
