11. Operation of the METEOTIME functions

a) Setting the time zone, language and contrast

• Keep the button "SET" (3) on the right side depressed (approx. 3 seconds) until "LAND EINST." (= set country,
= "COUNTRY") appears on the top of the display.
• Briefly press the button "SET" (3) on the right side, "ZONE +00HR" appears on the bottom of the display.
• With the buttons " " (1) and " " (2) on the right side, you can set the desired time zone (setting range
+12h.....-11h).
• Briefly press the button "SET" (3); the currently set language for the text display appears on the bottom of the
display.
• Select the desired language with the buttons " " (1) and " " (2).

ESPANOL = Spanish
FRANCAIS = French
ITALIANO = Italian
SWEDISH = Swedish
• Briefly press the button "SET" (3); the currently set contrast value appears on the display.
• Select the contrast value for the LC display with the buttons " " (1) and " " (2) (setting values 0....9).
• Briefly press the button "SET" (3) on the right side of the weather station. The settings are saved and the display
shows "EINST. VORG." (=settings performed, "EXIT"). Setup mode is terminated.

b) Reception test for the "METEOTIME" signal

Because some weather information is contained in each DCF signal per second (the so-called "METEOTIME"
signal), it is very easy to perform a function test contrary to standard DCF clocks.
Briefly press the "TEST" button (8) on the rear of the weather station.
The display shows "EMPF. TEST" (reception test, "SCAN"). Afterwards, the "METEOTIME" reception symbol to the
left of the city display serves to control the reception of the DCF/METEOTIME signal:
= perfect reception
= no reception
If necessary, change the installation site until " " is displayed.
The reception test is terminated automatically after one minute (or press the button "TEST" again before). Of course,
you can restart the reception test again. Proceed as described above.

c) Switching the display for time/date, city list and sunrise/sunset times

By briefly pressing the button "SET" (3) on the right side of the weather station, you can switch between the selection
list for the saved cities, the sunrise and sunset times as well as the time and date display.
