• If you do not have sufficient knowledge yet as how to deal with remote-controlled models, please seek the advice of an experienced model sportsman or a
model construction club.
• Taking out private liability insurance is recommended. If you already have one, get some information whether the operation of a model is covered by your
insurance.
• Do not leave packaging material unattended. It may become dangerous toy for children!
• Should questions arise that are not answered with the help of this operating manual, contact us (contact information see chapter 1) or another expert.
b) Before Operation
• Completely unroll the model's coiled antenna wire. The part of the receiver antenna that hangs out of the model at the rear must neither be turned over towards
the front and fastened to the model nor cut off. The best reception results are attained if the wire hangs loose from the model and is dragged during the flight.
• Make sure that no other models are operated within the range of the remote control on the same remote control channel (transmitter frequency). Otherwise,
you will lose control over the remote-controlled model! Always use different channels if you wish to operate simultaneously two or several models in the
immediate proximity of each other.
• Check the functional safety of your model and of the remote control system. Pay attention to visible damages such as broken plug-in connections or damaged
cables. All movable parts on the model have to be smooth running; however, there must be no tolerance in the bearing.
• Charge the flight battery, which is necessary for operation, as well as the rechargeable battery needed in the remote control according the instructions
indicated by the manufacturer.
• Only a 230 V/50 Hz mains power plug may be used to supply the mains plug-in charger. Never try to operate the device on another voltage.
• If batteries are used for the power supply of the transmitter, make sure that there is a sufficient rest capacity (battery checker). If the batteries are empty, always
replace the complete set, never individual cells only.
• Prior to each use, check the settings of the trim slider on the transmitter for different steering directions and, if necessary, set them.
• To operate your model, always pull out the telescopic antenna to its full length as otherwise the transmitters has a considerably lower range and the transmitter
output is exposed to higher than average interference.
• Always switch the transmitter on first. Only switch the flight battery of the model on afterwards. Otherwise the electric model airplane may react unexpectedly
and the propeller can start to turn unintentionally!
• Check the correct and secure position of the propeller before each operation.
• Make sure that neither objects nor body parts are in the rotating and suction area of the propeller while it is rotating.
c) During Operation
• Do not take any risks when operating the product! Your own safety and that of your surroundings is reliant on your being responsible when dealing with the
model.
• Improper operation can cause serious damage to people and property! Therefore, during operation, ensure a sufficient safety distance to persons, animals
and objects.
• Select an appropriate site for the operation of your model airplane.
• Fly your model only if your ability to respond is uninhibited. The influence of tiredness, alcohol or medicine can cause incorrect responses.
• Do not direct your model towards spectators or towards you.
• Never point the telescope antenna directly at the model. This significantly reduces the signal transfer to the model.
• The motor, flight control system and flight battery can become heated during operation of the model. Therefore, take a break of 5-10 minutes before re-
charging the flight battery or before re-starting, maybe with an available spare flight battery.
• Always leave the remote control (transmitter) turned on, as long as the model is in operation. After landing, always disconnect the flight battery first or switch
the model off. It is only afterwards that the remote control may be turned off.
• In case of a fault or a malfunction, correct the fault first then re-start the model.
• Don't expose your model and the remote control to direct sunlight or excessive heat for longer periods of time.
