Therefore, please check that in a measurement only one (1)
isolated conductor (max. dia. 30 mm) is measured at a time.
Measurement around a multi-core cable (one-phase) is not
possible.
If, however, two or more insulated conductors (total dia.
30 mm max.) of a multi-phase system are clamped, the value
read off corresponds to the vector sum of the individual cur-
rents.
• If there are reasons for supposing that risk-free operation is
no longer possible, the unit must be deactivated and safetied
against accidental operation. Risk-free operation can no lon-
ger be supposed, when the equipment
- is visibly damaged,
- no longer functions
- has been stored long-term under adverse conditions
- has been exposed to stress during transport.
• Never turn the equipment on immediately after transferring
it from a cold environment to a warm environment.
Condensation can cause irreparable damage to your equip-
ment. Allow your device to acclimatize to the temperature of
the room before you switch it on.
3. Description of the Operating Elements
See fold-out for figure
1.
Clamp-on ammeter opening to 32 mm max.(for „gripping"
conductor rails, isolated conductors, conductor systems, etc.)
2.
Marks for exact positioning the conductor to be measured.
If the conductor to be measured is not located exactly cen-
trally, an additional measurement error may result.
3.
Contact insulation: When measuring currents, never grip the
device beyond the contact insulation.
6
Important! Touching electrical conductors are a potentially
lethal hazard!
4.
„Peak Hold" button for retaining a peak value. This additio-
nal function can be activated for AC current and voltage
measurements, but not for other functions.
5.
Clamp-opening lever for opening/closing the clamp-on
ammeter
6.
Measurement range switch for switching the measuring
device ON/OFF, and also for activating measurement func-
tions:
200 A
200 A AC current measurement range (no Auto
Range = AR)
600 A
600 A AC current measurement range, no AR
200 V
200 V AC current measurement range, no AR
600 V
600 V AC current measurement range, no AR
200 Ω
200 ohms resistance measurement range, no AR
acoustic continuity check, acoustic signal with
through resistances of less than 15 Ω
kHz
1.999 kHz frequency measurement range, no AR
7.
Switch in „OFF" position: In this position the measuring
device is deactivated

9.
COM socket or „−" (minus terminal for black measuring line
(common = ground)
10. Warning: MAX 600 V: Voltage against ground must never
exceed 600 V.
11. VΩHz socket or „+" (plus terminal for red measuring line (all
measurements except current)
