Regulation use of the measuring device comprises:
• Measurement, conversion (Hall effect sensor) and display of
AC currents up to 600 Arms max.
• Measurement of AC voltages up to 600 VACrms max.
• Measurement of resistances up to 199 Ω max. and continuity
check
• Measurements of frequencies up to 2 kHz max.
• Uses other than specified are not permissible
• Operation or use in a damp, wet, explosive environment or

1. Introduction

The clamp-on ammeter can be used with AC currents up to 600 A
max.. The measuring device includes a useful „Hold" function. If
the „Hold" switch is active, the currently measured current value
is „frozen". The following measurements are also possible: AC
voltage measurements with measurement cables up to 200 V or
600 V; resistance measurements, also with measurement cables
up to 200 Ω , and continuity checks with acoustic display for resi-
stances less than 15 Ω; frequency measurements with measure-
ment cables up to 2 kHz max..
The DMM can be used universally both in the hobby and indu-
strial (restricted) sectors, or in schools, etc..
2. Notes on Safety
• The clamp-on ammeter is EMV safety-tested (domestic use)
and meets EG Guidelines 89/336/EWG and 73/23/EWG.
• The Clamp-on ammeter leaves the factory in a technically
safe condition. To maintain this condition and ensure safe
operation, the user must take account of the safety instruc-
tions and warnings contained in these operating instruc-
tions. The manufacturer guarantees satisfaction of the follo-
wing (international) standards: UL 3111, CSA C22.2 No.
1010.1-92, ISA-DC82 and IEC 1010-2-32 (1994).

• The measuring device (clamp-on ammeter without measure-
ment cables) may be used in installations of voltage surge
category III to IEC 664. However, the measurement cables,
are not electric arc explosion-protected (IEC 1010-2-031,
Section 13.101).
