5.5 Frequency Measurement

To measure the frequency of an AC voltage (e.g. of a signal gene-
rator) proceed as follows:
a) Please read Section 5.3.1 of these instructions (connection of
the measuring cables). Set the measurement function switch
to „kHz".
b) Connect the measurement probes to the measurement
object (load, voltage source, circuit, etc.). Please study the
figure shown below.
c) At frequencies greater than 1.999 kHz, the LCD displays „1..."
(for overflow) instead of a measurement value.

6. Maintenance and Calibration

To ensure accuracy of the multimeter over a longer period, it
should be calibrated once a year.
Battery replacement is described under Section 4.1. For cleaning
the device or the display window, use only a clean, dry, antistatic
lint-free cleaning rag.
Important!
Never use cleaning agents containing carbon, petrol, alcohol or
similar since these will attack the surface finish of the measuring
device. Also, the vapors are a health and explosion hazard.
